Black Caviar , in a sense of the word  is a "luxury delicacy" and that she is, winning a Group 1 race by 5 lengths hands and heels and eased up on the line...WOW!!!!

Top mare Black Caviar has claimed her ninth straight success and simply embarrassed her rivals in today's Group 1 Coolmore Lightning Stakes at Flemington

Despite the big build-up to her return and the pressure of maintaining her winning run, trainer Peter Moody, jockey Luke Nolen and especially the big dark mare were cool as ice.

Stepped well from the gates and ambled up to share the lead, running in a straight line up the middle of the course with roughing Leapfrog closest to the inside and Warm Love between them.

Second favourite Hay List edged closer at the 400m mark but Black Caviar was just kidding.

Nolen let her slide when Hay List got close and she left her rivals standing and set up a four length break.

You almost felt sorry for the others as Nolen eased her down nearly a furlong from home, cantering the final stages in the softest of Group 1 wins.

“I just don't know what to say. As I said on Thursday she's awesome,” trainer Peter Moody said.

“I said to Luke to travel for as long as you can and hopefully you don't have to ask her for too much.

“When she got to the clocktower and he hadn't asked and the others were off the bridle, it was pretty exciting stuff to watch.

“I'm proud to be part of what is now our ambassador for racing here in Australia at the moment in Black Caviar.

“She's one hell of a horse and she keeps getting the job done for us. And long may she stay sound and we can keep enjoying her here in Australia.”

If they didn't believe so before few would doubt she's the best sprinter since Vain and she franked her rating as the worlds best sprinter with the ease of her victory.
