Efficient became the first horse since Phar Lap, in 1929-30 to win the Victoria Derby and come back the following year to win the 2007 Melbourne Cup as a four-year-old.
Jockey Michael Rodd on Efficient came charging up the middle of the Flemington straight to reel in the English stayer Purple Moon in a great triumph for his owner Lloyd Williams.
To commemorate this historic and rare occasion Champions of the Turf in conjunction with the VRC is proud to release this exclusive image of Efficient crossing the winning post, by a half length at the 2007 Melbourne Cup.
This very exclusive release of only 100 stretched on canvas are personally signed by Efficient's jockey Michael Rodd.
