Gold Edition took her record to 13 wins from 24 starts with earnings of more than $2 million when she thrashed the fillies in the Surround Stakes at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
Ridden from the front my Jim Cassidy, the brilliant daughter of Lion Hunter broke the hearts of her rivals when she bolted clear at the top of the home straight and from that point just cruised to the line.
"Words can not describe her," Cassidy exclaimed after the race. "She's a freak."
"I've ridden plenty of good fillies in my career, but she is much better than good," Cassidy added.
At the finishing post in today's race Gold Edition ($1.80 fav) had a three length break over the Group winner Tuesday Joy ($8.50), while another Group winner Just Dancing ($21) was a half length back in third place.
Gold Edition was purchased by Kevin and Tanith O'Brien's Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm for $130,000 during the fifth session of the 2005 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast.
Since that time she has raced on 24 occasions for 13 wins and seven minor placing. Her stakes earnings sit at a massive $2,000,795.
