This edition has been dedicated to both of their Australian Cup victories Octagonal in 1997 with Shane Dye on board, Then Lonhro's unforgettable moment winning the race in 2004 with master (now hall of famer) jock Darren Beadman in the pilot seat, this was also Lonhro's last start infront of his Victorian fans!
