So You Think, the horse that has even master trainer Bart Cummings searching for superlatives, has lit up Moonee Valley with a powerhouse display to claim its second WS Cox Plate (2,040m).
Starting at the prohibitive odds of $1.50, the undisputed champion of Australian racing never gave its backers a scare as the horse and jockey Steven Arnold raced clear to score by 1-1/4 lengths.
"He did a good job, didn't he?" Cummings said.
"He took on the speed and just out-paced them. What can you say?"
Incredibly after only 10 starts, So You Think joins the likes of Phar Lap, Tobin Bronze, Kingston Town, Sunline and Northerly as a multiple winner of Australasia's weight-for-age championship.
The imposing entire is the first horse to win the Cox Plate as a three-year-old and go on to win it at four, while it also ran as the race's shortest-priced favourite in more than 40 years.
Cummings says it is not easy to say where So You Think ranks among his past champions.
