Wonderful World raced away with the $752,099 Caulfield Guineas (G1) on Saturday at Caulfield racecourse, giving trainer Bart Cummings his fifth victory in the event and 246 th Group 1 triumph.
"It's nice to have the race goers happy—and I'm happy too," said Cummings, who first won the race in 1976 with champion mare Surround.
Wonderful World was deftly ridden by 26-year-old local Luke Nolen. His first group 1 victory and it won't be his last.
