Daniel Griffin
Serving periods of his apprenticeship with top line trainers Barry Baldwin, Bryan Guy, Peter Moody has given Daniel Griffin a fast tracked education in racing.
Now 25, Griffin has recently moved to second on the Gold Coast premiership, which has been his base for the past 18 month.
Daniel grew up around horses on his family's property at Lowood and knew he was destined to be a jockey from a very early age.
Griffin was 16 when he rode his first winner, Little Me at Ipswich and progressed nicely with Barry Baldwin until transferring to Bryan Guy and basing himself in Sydney at the ripe old age of 18.
Daniel finished second in the Sydney Apprentices Premiership in 1999-2000 season behind Hugh Bowman.
Griffin has had limited chances in major races, but won the Listed Bribie Handicap in 2001 on Treasure The Kwila.
