Champion Mare Makybe Diva found a special place in all of our hearts throughout her amazing record breaking & action packed racing career.
On Tuesday 13th of August 2002 a very small crowd at Wangaratta racecourse in Victoria witnessed Makybe Diva win her very first race in the 3YO+ Maiden over 1600m on a heavy track defeating her rivals by 2.8 lengths.
What they didn't know was that they had also just witnessed a champion in the making!
From her very first win on Tuesday 13th of August 2002 Makybe Diva claimed that as her "Name Day" by winning the next 3 consecutive running's of the world famous Melbourne Cup run on the first Tuesday of each November.
Makybe Diva was a wonder mare winning almost every prestigious group race on the Australian calendar, Sydney Cup, Australian Cup, BMW Classic, Cox Plate, Turnbull Stakes, Memsie Stakes, Queen Elizabeth Stakes & of course the 3 consecutive Melbourne Cups.
All of her 7 Group 1 victories are featured in this one of a kind investment which has been personally hand signed by jockey Glen Boss who partnered her to victory in all of her Group 1 victories and also signed by hall of frame trainer Mr. Lee Freedman on an official Champions of the Turf First Day Cover released by Australia Post
