Bradman Commemorative Release
'Bradman is one of the rare miracles of the game, a player who can beat a side off his own bat.'

So Heralded London's Sunday Times newspaper in the English summer of 1930. It was to be a long, long summer for the English team...
England, in fact the whole of the cricket playing world, were to witness the flowering of a sporting talent so vast as to make his very name Don Bradman, a benchmark against which to measure all great feats of the past, and all batsman of the future eras.
Most people appreciate a high achievement, meticulous discipline and the moulding of natural ability into lasting accomplishments. A name synonymous with these values that will already mean a great deal to you, is the name of Sir Donald Bradman. It perhaps fills you with a sense of pride and vivid images of a special part of our history.
Images of a man in cricket whites leading his team to victory off his own bat. A man walking from the cricket field amongst ringing applause from an ecstatic crowd. A man bringing fame and respect to our young nation at a time when we were seeking recognition and our own identity. Don Bradman's Test match average of 99.94 runs has never been approached.
During his many seasons of cricket, English journalists described him as one of the Empire, (the other being Sir Winston Churchill).
Former Prime Minister, Bob Hawke, said of Sir Donald, 'Simply put, of all the people who have played first class cricket, there are two categories; there's Bradman and there's the rest.'
Legends Genuine Memorabilia and the Bradman Museum Trust are proud to present to you a very special project. The project had Sir Donald's personal involvement and endorsement. The hand that made 37 scores of 200 runs or more in first-class cricket, has signed this limited Commemorative Release.
I am proud to invite you to become an owner of one of the limited issue 'Sir Bradman A.C. Commemorative Releases.' Only 2500 will ever be offered for purchase in Australia.
There is a photograph opposite of this beautifully crafted piece, but it really doesn't do it justice. As you would expect, the craftsmanship and finish is of the highest standard. It is a piece of our heritage that every cricket lover would be proud to own, but only a few ever will. Already it has been seen by serious investors as a rare collectable.
Importantly, by securing one of the limited issue Releases, you will not only own a magnificent piece of our proud sporting history, you will be contributing to the advancement of cricket.
Sir Donald requested that the Bradman Museum Trust's share of the funds from the sale of this special tribute be used to help further the work of the trust. The Bradman Museum Trust enables young players to be expertly coached in the skills, history and ethics of the game. This will be achieved through regional, state and national coaching clinics. The Bradman Trust also provides young players with the opportunity to win scholarships to Oxford University in England, and to an Australian University of the players' choice. Through these opportunities, the Trust provides for the maintenance, welfare and advancement in life of young cricketers.
So you'll see that you will be playing your part in giving young cricketers every chance to uphold the legend that is Sir Donald Bradman.
Although it is on a very small scale in the photograph above, the main photograph of Don Bradman is an excellent one. It was taken on the eve of departure of his triumphant 1930 Ashes tour. It shows him in the nets at the W.A.C.A found in Perth, and is a classic study of the man's incredible power of concentration and raw athletic ability.  This photograph has rarely been seen.
The rare smaller photograph, again taken in 1930's, is of Sir Donald in his first tour blazer. The written tribute, beneath the main photograph is to 'The Don's' illustrious sporting achievements.
The tribute marks the highlights of an unparalleled cricketing career. The rich Bird's Eye Maple frame is truly magnificent. It is substantial in size and depth, measuring 56cm by 53cm (22' by 21') and a full 3.5cm  (1.5') thick. The gold title bar reads, 'Sir Donald Bradman A.C.'
Each release is personally hand signed by Sir Donald Bradman. This is one of the rare ventures Sir Donald has ever set his signature to, and in which he has been personally involved.
Your release will be individually hand numbered by a skilled calligrapher, ensuring its originality. It will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and Limitation.
The reverse side of the frame contains further biographical information and another photograph of Sir Donald Bradman that captures the sheer majesty of his cover drive.
Quotes
'Bradman is one of the rare miracles of the game, a player who can beat a side off his own bat.'
His record is unsurpassed. A Test batting average of 99.94 runs. Far above that of any other player at the close of his playing career, and considered by many unlikely ever to be bettered.
