Mark Waugh has earned a reputation as one of the premier One Day batsmen in the international arena.
Long a mainstay in the Australian middle order, he tried out in the opener's spot with instant success, making a number of high scores at a quick pace. This set Australia up for the 1996 World Cup tournament, where he hit 3 commanding centuries as opener, playing a major part in Australia reaching the Final.
From thereon Mark Waugh flourished in the position and ushered in the new breed of One Day openers, who score heavily right from the first ball.
His fast-paced approach helped create the current expectation in world cricket that the One Day innings should be given a whirlwind start.

From the tiny buttons to the incredibly fine stitching… from the ACB and sponsors logos to the Southern Cross pattern… even the green stitching of the seams is faithfully depicted.
