Far more than just a player and far more than just a captain, Steve Waugh was the definitive leader. In a legacy forged on ovals worldwide, spanning three decades, he earned the respect of millions with his dedication and courage. Regarded internationally as one of the greatest players to ever represent their country, Steve Waugh is truly the foremost captain of Australia – both on and off the field.

In January 1994, at the picturesque Adelaide Oval, battle resumed against an enemy from days past. South Africa's re-emergence from ‘the apartheid years' added extra spice to an already enthralling contest. Much hot-air had been blown east across the Indian Ocean during those years of enforced isolation... many points now needed to be proven; reputations now at stake.

In Australia's first innings, using his trusty blade of finest willow, Steve put the South African bowling attack to the sword. After smiting an imperious 164, he then chose a different weapon with which to skittle his foes; his bowling figures an impressive 4 for 26 off 18 overs.

Combining the written essence of Steve's favourite memories with striking visual imagery, Legends brings to life once more one of the greatest moments in sporting history for the pleasure of a lucky few.

Never before has there been released a series on just one athlete…until now!

In a ‘first' for collectors, Steve has personally selected what he believes to be the finest performances of his international representative career – recalled by him for their special significance. There will be six chapters in the Waugh Stories collection – six lithographs limited to just 350 of each.
