Scriptwriters could not have penned anything quite as dramatic as the fairytale which unfolded at Telstra Stadium on the night of June 15 th , when the genius that is Joey Johns silenced the doubters and showed us what ‘greatness' on a sportsfield is all about.
Pulling far more than rabbits out of his hat, the conjurer from Cessnock turned in a virtuoso performance on his recall to representative football. The little maestro orchestrated a perfect game-plan, having a hand in all 5 NSW tries and slotting 3 goals, deservedly drawing plaudits from both camps.
'MAESTRO' is a pictorial tribute to the special number 7 and his onfield wizardry at Origin II, 2005.
