41,689 fans witnessed the inaugural Hyundai A-League champions – Sydney FC – walk a lap of honour around Aussie Stadium early on Sunday evening (the 5 th of March, 2006). Despite his many playing honours at the very highest level with Manchester United, Sydney 's captain, man-of-the-match and ‘marquee player' – Dwight Yorke – rated it as one of his finest moments.
Steve Corica's 62 nd minute goal secured Sydney FC the title and sparked memorable scenes, images of which can be found on the official Hyundai A-League limited edition lithograph… ‘The Champions' …which has been personally signed by the ‘glamour' captain/coach pairing of Dwight Yorke and Pierre Littbarski.
The edition is limited to just 200 lithographs – each one independently authenticated and certified by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
