Mark Occhilupo
No Aussie surf icon has captured the hearts and minds of as many people as Mark Occhilupo. Since exploding onto the contest scene at only 16 Occy has managed to stay at the top of the sport year in and year out. Occy finally got his much deserved and much anticipated World Title in 1999. You couldn't find a more deserving candidate than this freakishly talented goofy-footer. Occy has redefined surfing boundaries and proved himself as a surfing legend. In 2007 Occy surfed his last heat as a fulltime professional on the ASP tour at the famous Pipeline masters.
Tom Carroll
Twice World Champion , Tom Carroll has dedicated his life to improving his act in the water. Tom first appeared on the North Shore of Hawaii in 1978 and immediately took a liking to the large powerful waves. He has set new Benchmarks at Pipeline winning the prestigious Pipe Masters in 1987, 90 and 91. Armed with raw courage , Athleticism , and a stocky muscular frame Carroll has no fear when it comes to critical late takeoffs on giant waves and his North Shore performances still remain the level by which all others are measured.
